SUBMIT YOUR PHOTOS HERE!
At any moment I might ask you to take some photos for me. I'll probably ask you to make me a map of where you go in your life everyday, and you'll send it to me so I can mark down some places for you to photograph. You'll submit the results here and it will be pretty fun for the both of us.
This is where we've been so far.
Photo Mission 5, by Rachel de Stijl, Toronto, Ontario
Betac also asked for a photo of my ‘hood, Parkdale, at the corner of King Street and Jameson Avenue. This of course includes a photo of the streetcar.

I requested to go out on another mission. Thanks for Betac for picking some locations for me.
She asked about our studio spaces at Ryerson University, this is the lower atrium.

I was in Bolzano, Italy for a meeting on Solar Energy and Architecture and decided to take a few days in Austria for myself (and a photomission!).
Hi! I’m always looking for new people to send out on Photo Missions. All it takes is for you to send us a map and then we’ll choose some places for you to photograph. You set the parameters of your mission (ie. general area) so you won’t have to worry about hours of travel to get to a single location.
PHOTO MISSION 3, Istanbul, by Hazal
I had said, “Seems like a quaint little park, with lots of trees.”
Seems to have been a true statement. Too bad there isn’t any exercise-inspired play equipment in this park.
PHOTO MISSION 3, Istanbul, by Hazal
Istanbul is divided and surrounded by great bodies of water. Looking at her map I said:
Out towards the water! Perhaps it is not as sunny as the day this photograph was taken but it looks quite interesting.
A much more natural shore line than what I would have suspected.
PHOTO MISSION, Dharavi, Mumbai
This project was inspired when I asked a company in Dharavi to take photos for me in some key areas. I created a map with locations and sent them off a few weeks ago.
The photos have finally arrived, unfortunately I don’t know the names of the kids who took these for me, but they live in Dharavi, Mumbai, and these are some pretty great photographs they created for me.
I Just wanted to share a few of them.
PHOTO MISSION 2 (Part 1 from Emmanuel, in Geneva, Switzerland).
Vickie: “…I wonder what this is…” This funky plan was the plan of a school, “College et Ecole de Commerce Andre Chavanne”. The buildings that surround the courtyard are very shiny with metal and glass. The photo is a detail of the courtyard tiles, which were painted with drawings by past classes of children.

Vickie: “Ferry pier” I couldn’t get close enough to get a shot of the actual pier, but this a shot in its general direction. The grounds are owned by the charming Geneva English School.
